Step by step

  1. Make a simple catering menu. Three to six trays in clear sizes (serves 10, 20) and prices.
  2. Put it on your website. A catering section with the menu and a phone number. Guests should not have to ask what you offer.
  3. Let people order ahead. Scheduled orders for a set day and time, for smaller group orders.
  4. Reach groups near you. Offices, schools, churches, temples, sports teams and clubs.
  5. Answer fast. Reply to catering questions the same day. Groups book with whoever answers first.

Questions owners ask

How much should I charge for catering?

Price per tray or per person, based on your food cost, labor and packaging. Check catering prices of similar places nearby.

Do I need a separate catering website?

No. A clear catering section on your own website is enough.
