# How to raise your average order without raising prices

If each order grows by a few dollars, sales grow without a single new guest. Most of it comes from how the menu is shown and what is suggested at the right moment.

## Step by step

1. **Show best sellers first.** Put the dishes most guests order at the top of your online menu, with a real photo. Guests order what they see first.
2. **Suggest one add-on.** A drink, an egg roll or an extra protein, suggested when the guest adds a main dish. One good suggestion beats five.
3. **Offer a combo or family meal.** A meal for two or four at a clear price makes the bigger order the easy choice.
4. **Use photos on every popular dish.** Dishes with a photo get noticed more on a phone menu. Your own phone photos are enough.
5. **Price the sides right.** Sides and drinks are often the easiest add-on. Make sure they are priced so they are worth adding for you and for the guest.
