# How to get your restaurant on Google Maps

Your Google Business Profile is the listing that shows on Google Maps and Search. Claim it, verify it, and fill in everything a hungry guest looks for.

## Step by step

1. **Search for your restaurant first.** Your restaurant may already be listed. If so, claim it instead of making a new one, so you do not end up with two listings.
2. **Create or claim your Business Profile.** Go to business.google.com, sign in with a business Google account, and add or claim your restaurant.
3. **Verify it.** Google asks you to verify, for example by video, phone or mail. Until then, your changes may not show.
4. **Pick the right category.** Choose the most specific one, like “Vietnamese restaurant”, not only “Restaurant”.
5. **Fill in everything.** Hours, phone, website, menu link, your own order link, real photos of the food, the front and the inside.
